Project Description

The Hill Group was selected as the build-out HVAC contractor for this new 1,250,000 square foot, 25-story hospital.

In general, the Hill piping systems scope of work begins just outside the riser shaft walls at the first isolation valve or fire/smoke damper assembly separating risers from the extended basically horizontal distribution systems.

Piping systems include: heating hot water, chilled water, glycol solution, deionized water, high pressure steam, low pressure steam, steam condensate return, natural gas and helium (MRI) vent piping. Medical gas piping consists of oxygen, medical air, medical vacuum, nitrogen, nitrous oxide, carbon dioxide and waste anesthesia gas. Ventilation distribution systems include medium and low pressure supply and return ductwork as well as exhaust systems (general, toilet, isolation, kitchen hood, dishwasher, medical gas room, battery room, hazardous waste, anesthesia, bio-safety hood, decontamination, central sterile, flammable storage, morgue, nuclear medicine and shop).
