The Hill Group was selected as the assist-design and build HVAC, plumbing and fire protection contractor for a new 48 rack data center and offices. The 1,900 square foot data center and adjacent office area is on a new mezzanine while the UPS electrical room, mechanical room, server “build” room and a conference room are directly below on the first floor.

The new mechanical system includes a 180 ton water chiller incorporating compressors with magnetic bearings, an evaporative condenser, hydronic economizer, stubs for future expansion, five nominal 40-ton CRAC for the data center and two nominal 20-ton CRAC for the UPS room. All systems are arranged for N+1 redundancy.
