The Hill Group was selected as the Engineer, Procure, and Construct Organization for the Central Heating and Refrigeration Plant serving Midway Airport’s new terminal.
Hill, serving as the Prime Design and Build Contractor, installed 5,500 tons of refrigeration, ice thermal storage system and four 600-boiler horsepower 60 psi steam horizontal fire tube boilers. Responsibilities included power electrical, controls and architectural trades.
The systems meets guaranteed capacities and efficiencies.
