The Hill Group was awarded the mechanical work for the renovation and additions to the central mechanical plant.
The project, to be performed in three phases over three years, includes:
demolition of three existing boilers
demolition of a centrifugal chiller and an absorption chiller
relocation of an existing 1,000 ton and a 650 ton chiller
retrofitting the two chillers with variable frequency drives and reworking controls
installation of a 1,300 ton cooling tower
installation of six base mounted chilled water pumps
installation of three new 700 boiler horsepower high pressure steam fire tube boilers with new deaerator, 1,300 gallon condensate receiver, surface blowdown heat recovery system, R.O. boiler make-up water system and stacks
installation of a plate and frame heat exchanger for domestic hot water
