Integrated project delivery (IPD), is a collaborative alliance of people, systems, business structures and practices into a process that harnesses the talents and insights of all participants to optimize project results, increase value to the owner, reduce waste, and maximize efficiency through all phases of design, fabrication, and construction.
First working definition of IPD from the American Institute of Architects (2007)
The Hill Group has long embraced the tenets of Integrated Project Delivery in order to deliver optimal results and value for our clients. We thrive on collaborative teams built early in the process by incorporating key strategies and tactics such as:
- Use of Building Information Technology to fully integrate design and estimating to aid in cost management, and provide savings on the long-term costs of owning and occupying a building
- Effective use of our campus by establishing team design spaces in our Hill Collaboration Center and extensive areas for creating mock-ups and modular fabrication
- Implementing Lean Construction methods in our prefabrication shops and during project planning and scheduling
